The Belen Market is a place where locals go daily to sell and buy most of the essentials they use to support their lives. There is little to no refrigeration available for many so fresh food is a way to live in Iquitos and the surrounding jungle areas. The market draws people from all over the region to gather and promote their commerce and natural living.The range of goods is so diverse and abundant it becomes a sensory overload and a good way to spend the day.

A trip to Peru is just the thing to take you out of your comfort zone and in to the enchanted land of plants, trees, jungle animals and a culture of people who ,until now, are mostly unaffected by the white man and all of our attachments. Getting away from the norm and immersing yourself in a foreign land to be able to enrich your soul with all of the riches of Peru.
